A k\u00f6nyvt\u00e1r sok \u00e9rt\u00e9kes \u00e9s \u00e9rdekes g\u00f6r\u00f6g nyelv\u0171 irodalmi, filoz\u00f3fiai \u00e9s teol\u00f3giai munk\u00e1val dicsekedhet mind a mai napig. J\u00f3rgosz Zavir\u00e1sz 1744-ben sz\u00fcletett Sziatiszt\u00e1ban. Thesszalonikiben folytatta tanulm\u00e1nyait, majd tizenhat esztend\u0151s kor\u00e1ban \u00e9rkezett Magyarorsz\u00e1gra. A g\u00f6r\u00f6g \u00e9s a magyar mellett sz\u00e1mos eur\u00f3pai nyelven besz\u00e9lt: tudott latinul, olaszul, franci\u00e1ul, n\u00e9met\u00fcl, amint arr\u00f3l k\u00f6nyvt\u00e1r\u00e1nak anyaga is tan\u00faskodik.
